Position Description

Machinery Systems, Inc., a 44-year Mazak distributor, is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician. Operating from their residence, the field service technician will travel to customer locations throughout Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. The Field Service Technician’s primary responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical aspects of a wide.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in a machine tool repair position with an end user, distributor or builder of CNC machine tools or similar is preferred.
  • Requires strong problem solving skills with excellent knowledge of both mechanical and electrical areas of repair of CNC machine tools.
  • Must be a self starter and be highly motivated
  • Must possess strong customer service orientation, be flexible to adjust to customer demands and have effective communication skills
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and knowledge of PLC’s is desirable.  
  • Must hold and maintain an unrestricted driver’s license

Position Description

Machinery Systems, Inc., a leading Midwest CNC machine tool distributor with a 40 year history of representing Mazak, the world’s largest machine tool builder, is seeking a CNC installation technician to join our expanding business. The installation technician will travel to customer locations throughout Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan.

The installation technician’s primary responsibilities will be to install and train customers on the use of Mazak CNC machine tools and the Mazatrol programming language. In addition, the technician will perform minor non-warranty electrical and mechanical diagnosis and repair of Mazak machine tools. The technician may be asked to perform preventative maintenance services at customer locations. The technician may be asked to demonstrate the capabilities of Mazak’s equipment to customers in our showroom and at various trade shows.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of set-up, programming and machining experience on both CNC turning centers and vertical machining centers. Mazatrol programming experience is a plus.
  • Aptitude or ability to work with 3 phase wiring, 100V AC/ 24V DC circuits and machine leveling tools is ideal
  • Knowledge of cutting tool and work holding applications
  • Must be a self starter and be highly motivated
  • Must possess strong customer service orientation, be flexible to adjust to customer demands and have effective communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Appropriate safety wear for in-house and customer shop environments
  • Ability to provide own tools is a plus
  • Unrestricted drivers license

The Marketing/Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting our sales team through execution of marketing and inside sales support and administrative responsibilities. You’ll join a team that has a passion for manufacturing, one that is committed to go beyond just the promise of an outcome. As a Marketing/Administrative Assistant at MSI, your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
  • Monitoring social media platforms and tracking and analyzing performance and engagement
  • Assisting with content creation and execution of e-mail campaigns
  • Assisting with content creation and execution of company newsletters
  • Executing follow-up phone calls to customers on completed service activity
  • Executing invitation phone calls for upcoming events and sale promotions
  • Event administration including development of attendee lists and general planning and communications with customers, employees, vendors, and travel providers
  • Creating and maintaining targeted e-mail lists in Salesforce
  • Data entry in our accounting, CRM software (Salesforce), Excel spreadsheets and other
  • Typing letters, memos, and miscellaneous correspondence
  • Document services including scanning, filing, copying
  • Answering the phones for the business
  • Incoming and outgoing mail, UPS, FedEx
  • Ordering office supplies, postage, toner/ink for copier, paper

Qualifications

  • Experience in a business setting with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube
  • Proficient in working with CRM software (preferably Salesforce)
  • Proficient in working with e-mail marketing tools (Constant Contact, SendGrid)
  • In-depth understanding of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
  • Basic familiarity with WordPress
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once
  • Strong customer service attitude
