Position Description
Machinery Systems, Inc., a leading Midwest CNC machine tool distributor with a 48-year history, is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician.
The Field Service Technician will travel to customer locations primarily throughout Wisconsin and Western Michigan, while also travelling to our Illinois and Indiana clients from time to time. The Field Service Technician's primary responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical aspects of a wide range of Mazak standard machine tool products.
Requirements
- Preferred minimum of 2 years in a machine tool repair position with an end user, distributor, or builder of CNC machines or similar experience. MSI is willing to work with and train prospective candidates that possess strong mechanical skills / aptitude and have a willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent knowledge of both mechanical and electrical areas of repair of CNC machine tools or related fields.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter and possess a good work ethic.
- A strong customer service orientation, flexible to adjust to customer demands, and have effective communication skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and knowledge of PLC's is desirable.
- Must hold and maintain an unrestricted driver's license.

Working from MSI’s Schaumburg, Illinois office, the Inside Sales Specialist plays a key role in identifying, developing, and documenting new sales opportunities for our sales team while coordinating the efficient removal, shipment and warehousing of machines that we buy and sell.
Requirements
- Strong prospecting skills – high energy, outcome focused with high degree of perseverance in overcoming objection
- Ability to consistently make a high volume of telemarketing calls daily
- Ability to leverage modern lead generation tools including social media
- Effective project management and multi-tasking skills with ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Technical aptitude in mechanical equipment is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter that possesses strong multi-tasking skills
- Organized, pays attention to detail and manages time well
- Proficient computer user with experience in MS Outlook and MS Office products
- Knowledge of Salesforce to develop, log and track activities and leads is a plus

Working from our Schaumburg, IL facility, the Service Technician’s primary responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical aspects of a wide range of brands and models of CNC machine tools. While predominantly an in-house position, the position does require occasional travel to customer locations.
