FLORENCE, Ky., September 16 – At IMTS 2022 in Booth 338300, Mazak highlighted the INTEGREX j-200S Multi-Tasking Machine with optimized CNC programming and hardware, high-speed servo systems and top ergonomics to produce complex medium-sized workpieces. For cost-effective high-performance turning and angular milling, the machine’s integral spindle/motor headstock enables heavy-duty and high-speed cutting, while dual turning spindles and milling spindle process complete parts in single setups.
Each turning spindle incorporates a C-axis control and features a 15 hp (11.18 kW), 5,000 rpm integral spindle motor that generates 105 ft-lbs (142.36 Nm) of torque. Bore sizes on the main and second spindle are 2.99″ (76 mm) and 2.4″ (61 mm), respectively. The 10 hp (7.46 kW), 12,000 rpm milling spindle indexes in 5° increments (optional 1°) from -30° to 210° (B-axis control). Overall, this allows for 4-axis simultaneous machining and 5-axis tool tip positioning. The machine’s automatic tool changing handles tool storage capacities of 20, 36 and 72 tools.
A large machining area accommodates a maximum machining diameter of 19.690″ (500 mm) and length of 35.820″ (910 mm). Axis travels on the INTEGREX j-200S are 17.72″ (450 mm) in X, 7.87″ (200mm) in Y and 37.8” (960 mm) in Z with rapid traverse rates of 1,575 ipm (40,005 mm/m). The axes incorporate the Mazak MX Hybrid Roller Guide System that increases vibration damping, handles high load capacities and eliminates tramp oil in the coolant with a greener grease-based lubrication system.
